Love, Cupid

Original Play, Stage Design and Costumes

How It Started

Love, Cupid originated as a series of 8 collage postcards exchanged between Cupid, the Roman God of love and an artist after their chance meeting at the MET Museum.

What It Became

I enjoyed the idea of Cupid falling in love with a mortal artist so much that I wrote a two act play expanding on how they meet as a loose queer retelling of the Cupid & Psyche Myth by Apuleius. At this time my Illustration Professor was encouraging me to experiment with scenic design which led to imagining rough concepts of what this play would look like if it was actually put to stage.
